West Ham attacker Mohammed Kudus was linked with Arsenal’s move in the January transfer window by football journalist Sebastien Vidal.
The Gunners consider the Ghanaian attacker to be an important addition to their forward line and should use the Trossard sale to fund the transfer.
On December 18, Vidal informed his half-a-million followers on X that Arsenal is planning for a Kudus bid because they want to improve their attack.
But the 24-year-old has also drawn interest from Newcastle United and Liverpool, according to Sunday Mirror; thus, it gives indications of a fierce battle for this player.
Arsenal Target Mohammed Kudus
Since signing for West Ham United from Ajax in the 2023 summer transfer window, Mohammed Kudus has become an essential player in David Moyes ‘ squad.
Some of his roles have involved scoring decisive goals and using exceptional footwork, which has placed him in high standing in the Premier League.
As a key player in the team and given his recent performances, West Ham is not willing to let go of the Ghana international.
The Hammers rate Kudus also concerning the wonderful on-pitch performance but in addition the ability and multi-potentiality.
To lure West Ham into a sale, any potential suitors, including Arsenal, will have to make a very attractive bid to the club.
Kudus has only been adjusting and shining in the English league; the London club would understandably ask for a huge transfer fee for their star player.
To Arsenal, the signing of Kudus would be an additional strength that would bring a flair creator and midfielder who is versatile to Mikel Arteta.
But they are not the only ones in the market for a forward, Newcastle and Liverpool are equally desperate for a new attacker.
There could be a fierce tussle for the signing of Kudus in the January transfer window, the question is whether Arsenal has the financial might to outbid their competition and match West Ham’s asking price.
At the moment, the ball is square with the Hammers, and any interest that Arsenal may have in their target could very well depend on whether the Gunners are willing to pay whatever West Ham wants for Mohammed Kudus.
