West Ham seems to be coming to the aid of out of favour Chelsea left back Ben Chilwell. Ben Chilwell who has not been in so much on field action since the arrival of Chelsea’s current coach Enzo Maresca, who prefers Marc Cucurella on the left back wing over Ben Chilwell.

Ben Chilwell who was tipped to go on loan before the close of the summer transfer window couldn’t seal a loan deal which kept him in Chelsea with little game time to his name.

Enzo Maresca who was said to have informed Ben Chilwell on his arrival at Chelsea that Ben Chilwell doesn’t fit into his game pattern and advised the England left back to seek an exit to another club.

West Ham who have not been in good form since the start of the 2024/2025 football season, having lost four of their eight league matches and conceding 15 goals in the process, will be looking to step up their defense, and a Ben Chillwell addition might do good to the West Ham team.

The January transfer window which is just around the corner will definitely be a deciding factor for the out of favour Chelsea left back who will be looking to make a move away from Chelsea in search of regular football time, most likely to increase his chances of featuring for his country on international duties.

Borrussia Dortmund Also Keen On Ben Chilwell

Apart from the likelihood of Ben Chilwell making a January move to West Ham in the January transfer window, another option open to Ben Chilwell in the January transfer window is the Bundesliga giant Borrussia Dortmund.

Borrussia Dortmund who have placed Ben Chilwell and Bournemouth left back Milos Kerkez as an option on their list of potential mid season signings will obviously be giving Chilwell a transfer boost on making a transfer exit in the January transfer window in search of regular playing time.
