Viktor Gyokeres arrived Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2023, and ever since his arrival in Portugal from Coventry city for €20 million, Viktor Gyokeres has been blowing up his stats with incredible numbers. Viktor Gyokeres since his arrival in Portugal has registered over 50 goals and assists in all competitions for Sporting.
Viktor Gyokeres isn’t showing any single sign of slowing down this season, as he has carried his incredible form into this new football season with 14 goals and a further 5 assists in 10 appearances so far this new season, giving interested clubs more reasons to thirst over him and further proving why they should come for him.
Viktor Gyokeres currently has a release clause of €100 million on his head, which any team willing to snatch him away from Sporting Lisbon should be ready to part with. Arsenal were heavily linked to signing Viktor Gyokeres in the recently closed summer transfer window, but opted out on activating his release clause.
Chelsea are also keeping a close eye on Viktor Gyokeres, after missing out on signing Victor Osimhen from Napoli on deadline day of the transfer window, which saw the Nigerian Forward make a last minute move to Galatasaray on a loan deal that could break in the January transfer window. So as it stands, Chelsea are keeping their options open, as they could also still make another move for Victor Osimhen.
Liverpool and Tottenham are also two teams who have taken note of the exceptional goal scoring ability of Viktor Gyokeres, and have also entered into the mix to try to lure the Swedish international to the premier league.
Tottenham who just recently completed the signing of Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth won’t mind adding more fire power to their Frontline with the addition of Viktor Gyokeres. Liverpool on the other hand haven’t really been lucky with Darwin Nunez who hasn’t been at his best since his arrival at Anfield, and could likely be offloaded by next summer if his goal scoring doesn’t improve by the end of the season.
