Trent Alexander-Arnold’s Future in Doubt: Liverpool Eye Chelsea Star Malo Gusto as Surprise Replacement

New rumours link Liverpool with a move for Chelsea right-back Malo Gusto as a possible stand-in for the uncertain Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Alexander-Arnold’s contract will end at the end of the season, meaning he can talk to any team from January about a pre-contract deal.

The Reds have well-managed the situation, and Real Madrid is reported to have listed him as their number one transfer target.

Liverpool Is Interested In Malo Gusto

As reported by Simon Phillips, a journalist, Liverpool reportedly has set their sights on Malo Gusto who they could rely on to strengthen the right-back position.

The Frenchman, Malo Gusto signed for Chelsea in January 2023 in a £31 million deal with the West London side and has been a regular under Enzo Maresca and currently has 5 and half years remaining on his Chelsea deal until 2030.

This piece equally reveals that Liverpool and Manchester City are the English clubs interested in the Chelsea defender, and plotting a £40 million bid for the 21-year-old artist.

It is believed that Gusto is happy at Chelsea, but Liverpool and Manchester City are expected to put Chelsea to the test in the January transfer windows.
