The 2024 summer transfer window has been a very busy and hectic period for the football world, football clubs, football players, football agents, and even football fans, i mean, what’s the beauty of football without the fans, the fans are the driving force of the game.

The football world and especially the football fans have been kept on their toes with high anticipation and expectation as to their favourite clubs activities in the transfer market, which players are being bought to their clubs and which players will be sold out or going on loan.

The transfer window is beginning to wind down as we gradually come to the end of the transfer window for most leagues, and we will be taking a look at  the 10 biggest transfers of the 2024 summer transfer window. (1) Julian Alvarez (Manchester City to Atletico Madrid) – £82m

Man city Argentine striker Julian Alvarez comes in at number one on our list of the biggest transfers of the 2024 summer transfer window. Julian Alvarez who recently won the Copa America, after also recently winning the world cup together with the Argentine team in 2022 has made a move away from the Etihad stadium in Manchester city, probably in search of another new challenge in his career, Athletico Madrid paid an initial fee of £64m.

(2) Dominic Solanke (Bournemouth to Tottenham) – £65m 

Former Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke comes in at number two on our list of the biggest transfers of the 2024 summer transfer window. Dominic Solanke who made a record move from his previous club of Bournemouth to Tottenham Hotspur on a £65m fee. Dominic Solanke was destined to make a big six move after scoring 19 times in the league last season.

3) Leny Yoro (Lille to Manchester United) £52m

French teenage footballer Leny Yoro comes in at number three of on our list of biggest transfers of the 2024 summer transfer window. Leny Yoro made the transfer switch from Lille to Man united with his former club Lille receiving a fee of £52m to part with their star center back. Leny Yoro is definitely a good addition to the Man utd squad, which goes to show that the red devils really mean business in the new season.

4) Pedro Neto (Wolves to Chelsea) – £54m

Portuguese winger Pedro Neto comes in at number four on our list of the biggest transfers of the 2024 summer transfer window. Chelsea football club splashed out a whooping £54m to bring Neto into Stamford bridge, Chelsea under new coach Enzo Maresca have been very busy in the transfer market trying to build up the team, most likely to a standard that the new Chelsea coach can work with.

(5) Joao Neves (Benfica to PSG) – £50m 

19 years old Portuguese Joao Neves comes in at number five on our list of the biggest transfers of the 2024 transfer window. Joao Neves who plays as a defensive midfielder for Benfica prior to his switch to the Ligue 1 club of PSG was bought by Paris Saint Germain for a fee of £50m. Joao Neves made the move to the French capital upon the switch of Uruguayan midfielder who also made a move from the PSG to Manchester United.

(6) Amadou Onana (Everton to Aston Villa) – £50m

Belgium Midfield player Amadou Onana comes in at number six on our list of the biggest transfers of the current 2024 transfer window. Amadou Onana plied his trade with Everton prior to making the £50m switch to the villa park. Aston Villa who will be competing in the champions league this season, having qualified in the top four, giving them the opportunity to participate in the champions league this season, Aston Villa needed to strengthen their squad to be able to do well in the European competition.

(7) Moussa Diaby (Aston Villa to Al-Ittihad) – £50m

French winger Moussa Diaby comes in at number seven on this list. Moussa Diaby who recently moved to the premier league, only spend a season in the premiership and has already made a big money move to the the Saudi Arabian side of Al-Ittihad for a fee of £50m. Moussa Diaby plied his trade with Bayern Leverkusen before being bought by Aston Villa on a five year deal two seasons ago.

(8) Dani Olmo (Leipzig to Barcelona) – £47.2m

Dani Olmo is Spanish footballer who plied his trade with RB Leipzig in the Bundes Liga of Germany before making his big money switch to the camp Nou, and he comes in at number eight on our list of the biggest transfers of the 2024 summer transfer window. Dani Olmo was part of the victorious Spanish team who recently won gold in the recently concluded Olympic games in the United States of America. And he was bought for £42.7m

(9) Teun Koopmeiners (Atalanta to Juventus) – £46.1m

Dutch Midfielder Teun Koopmeiners comes in at number nine of our list of the biggest transfers of the transfer window. Teun Koopmeiners is a talented midfield sensation, and his talent has obviously transferred his from Atalanta to the old lady, and he was bought for a whooping sum of £46.1m by Juventus to bring him to the Allianz stadium.

(10) Michael Olise (Crystal Palace to Bayern Munich) – £45m 

French Midfielder Michael Olise, who is know for his dead ball abilities comes in at number ten on our list of the ten biggest transfers of the transfer window for 2024. Michael Olise who formally played for the eagles of crystal palace before being snatched by the Bundes Liga giants of Germany and no one actually saw that move coming. Michael Olise was cupped by Bayern Munich for of a fee of £45m.
