Jack Grealish Transfer News

According to reports, Tottenham Hotspur may be in for the very bleak prospect of signing Jack Grealish from Manchester City in the January transfer window.

The 29-year-old, who moved to City for a record £100 million from Aston Villa 3 and a half years ago, is still struggling to bear the pressure of the price tag. Grealish has not scored a goal and has provided only two assists in the current campaign in 14 matches.

Grealish’s plight was evident in the previous weekend when he was not in the playing squad that played City in the 2-0 victory against Leicester City.

Jack Grealish Has Been Poor In Form Recently

The Manchester United midfielder has played the last eight Premier League games without scoring or creating a single chance. However, Grealish is still in City’s pay till 2026 but the speculations surrounding his future have increased.

It will be mentioned that according to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United could become concrete rivals, which could help him get out of Manchester.

But, it is still not clear whether one of the clubs will bring him in the winter transfer period or in the summer period.

On the other hand, a short article from the Manchester Evening News claims that City won’t sell Grealish in the middle of the season.

Pep Guardiola is currently struggling with a very small squad caused by injuries and poor forms. Off for the long term is Oscar Bobb, while Matheus Nunes – usually playing on the left side – has had some problems with injuries and physical conditions.

Rodri is out for a long period. Ruben Dias, John Stones, Kyle Walker, and Ederson have faced recent injuries, and that makes the options scarce for Guardiola.

Jack Grealish has scored 14 goals and assisted 20 in 143 matches combined across the Premier League and other competitions since signing for City. However, he has only started six Premier League games this season so far.

As it stands, Guardiola will have options to freshen up his squad in January, whether it be a squad rebuilding for a transition with several of his stars, such as Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva, ageing.

City faces the significant challenge of taking on league leaders Liverpool, aiming to secure a Champions League spot by the time the second half of the season concludes.
