PSG In Talks To Secure Star Defender Achraf Hakimi With New Contract Extension

PSG are said to be in talks with Achraf Hakimi, and these talks are not just small talk, yes, these talks are talks about a new contract extension with the Parisien club, and according to transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano, contacts have already been made with Achraf Hakimi’s agent.

Achraf Hakimi joined PSG in 2021 and ever since his arrival in Paris, Hakimi has been fantastic for PSG, registering 15 goals in 125 appearances and a further 21 assists to his name, which makes Achraf Hakimi a very prolific right back with these numbers, for a defender.

Achraf Hakimi will have just one year left on his contract with PSG after this season, which makes it of necessity for PSG for secure their star defender from external clubs coming to price the defender away, as Achraf Hakimi is been see by PSG as part of their long term plans for the club.

External Clubs interest in Achraf Hakimi

Achraf Hakimi is a talented defender who definitely will obviously have so many other clubs interested in him, and top on the list of interested clubs is Real Madrid, which Achraf Hakimi came through their academy.

In June, The Athletic reported that Real Madrid where interested in bringing in Achraf Hakimi as a successor to Dani Carvajal at Real Madrid as he is being seen as a perfect fit and replacement for the Spanish right back.

But with PSG already working on a new and most likely improved contract for Achraf Hakimi, Real Madrid will most likely be looking elsewhere for another replacement for the Dani Carvajal at Real Madrid, except he Hakimi is willing to join the Laliga club.

Achraf Hakimi has his  former PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe at Real Madrid already, so i strongly believe it would be easier to lure Achraf Hakimi to Real Madrid with that fact in place.
