Victor Osimhen Transfer News

According to reports, Paris Saint-Germain is getting prepared for the winter transfer window by targeting Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen.

The 25-year-old forward, who plays for Napoli but is currently on loan in Galatasaray, is back on the radar of the French giants, who are currently sitting at the helm of Ligue 1 with a 10-point lead over second-placed Marseille.

As reported, it emerged that PSG’s interest in Osimhen is not new. Sporting director Luis Campos has been an admirer of the player for a long time.

PSG tried to persuade him to join their team last summer but failed after Napoli’s demands could not be met. This led to the deal that saw the club loan Osimhen to Galatasaray, where he has prospered and received adoration.

Victor Osimhen Has Been Impressive This Season

Osimhen has expressed his confidence in Turkey, but sources claim that PSG’s interest has renewed his interest. However, the potential move seems a long shot away from being achieved.

This season in Süper Lig, Victor Osimhen has 7 goals, 3 assists in 10 matches

Luis Enrique, who showed some recklessness about signing the striker during the past summer transfer, remains a key figure in the transfer. In addition, the contractual relationship between Napoli and Galatasaray, in particular, is worrisome for Osimhen as well.

There were speculations that Napoli is willing to set a release clause of €75 million for the forward, a fee that could make PSG think twice.

The Parisian club may only opt for a loan with a possible permanent transfer, but chances for it will be seen when other players are discussed as well.

For example, the future of Randal Kolo Muani this season remains to be seen; the player in the current campaign continues to fight for a starter’s place. Furthermore, the rumours in the media reveal that clubs in England, Germany, and Spain are keenly interested in signing this Kolo muani.

Other targets which can be possibly in the works for PSG at the winter transfer window could also involve strengthening the wings with options that could challenge Bradley Barcola.

For the time being, Osimhen remains a target, however, how PSG can deal with all of the adversities of this high-profile transfer stays to be seen.
