Milan Skriniar Transfer News

Liverpool and Manchester United are said to be interested in signing the 29-year-old Paris Saint-Germain defender Milan Skriniar with competitions for his signature coming from Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus.

Slovak international could be on the move in January since PSG may contemplate selling the veteran centre-back.

Skriniar, signed from Inter Milan to the PSG, has grown to become one of the best defenders in Europe.

One of the hardest workers and regarded for his technique and cool head, the Slovakian has performed well in Italy, France and internationally. Many top clubs are now following his situation due to his contract situation.

The area that Liverpool, especially, needs to strengthen during transfer windows is their defence line and the midfield. The team still has Virgil van Dijk as a foundation of its defence, but multiple blows have weakened the team as they lost Ibrahima Konaté and Joe Gomez.

Milan Skriniar Is Wanted By Top Clubs

Skriniar has excellent experience in the position and style of play that would complement Van Dijk, which manager Arne Slot needs to ensure Liverpool continues to remain competitive in domestic and European tournaments.

Manchester United are also in the market for defensive reinforcements. That they are currently in an irregular style, along with the rumours of Victor Lindelöf’s departure.

It’s clear that Ruben Amorim needs new ideas. Skriniar, at a high point in his career, can offer instant response and address the main problem, which is the defence, which has been a let-down this season.

His Premier League profile suits United as they seek ways to reignite their season.

Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus are also showing interest in signing Skriniar this summer. Tottenham has been doomed with defensive woes especially because of losses through injury of some important players like Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.

For this very reason, signing Skriniar would indeed be of great value since there are very few options when it comes to fit centre-backs.

At the same time, Juventus is interested in finding a replacement for Gleison Bremer, and Skriniar surely fits the bill in terms of Serie A experience.

The bidding could stiffen during the January transfer window since Skriniar is one of the highly-rated defenders in the current market.
