Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford indicated that he could be set to leave the club shortly, but he respects the Old Trafford side.

In a candid statement, Rashford said:

“For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps.”

“When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person.

“If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse. I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me.”

There has been information in The Mail that Manchester United have indicated their willingness to sell Rashford, but it does not look easy to transfer the 27-year-old forward.

The Man United star’s wages alone are enough to push away any buyer because he is among one of the biggest earners at the club.

Combined with the fluctuation of scoring rates in the past year and a half, his popularity has gone down, although clubs like PSG are said to have lost interest in him.

Marcus Rashford Seems To Be Out Of Favour Of Amorim

Other insider, like Graeme Bailey through United In Focus, he argued that the prospect of a loan move makes so much sense in the present scenario.

It might allow Rashford to get back into the groove and perhaps regain his form all over again, and thus a permanent switch in the summer.

A loan could also afford Rashford an opportunity to struggle back to the England team after missing Euro 2024.

Further success at the club level could also help to remind people of his ability and open the door for a potentially huge transfer at the season’s end.

For United, a loan deal offers time for them while looking for a viable buyer to come in the summer period when more clubs cash out their pockets.

And it would also give Rashford flexibility in terms of where he can move to next.

Regardless of whether Rashford moves temporarily, in this case, through a loan agreement or permanently, it is getting more and more likely that the next chapter in his career will not take place in Old Trafford.
