Rasmus Hojlund Transfer News

Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund faces transfer speculation to Napoli because of his ongoing struggles in scoring goals at Old Trafford.

After Manchester United paid Atalanta £70million for Hojlund through a deal Erik ten Hag finalized approximately two years ago the striker entered the club as a developmental project.

Many supporters and experts were expecting more development from his performance but he has not met their anticipations because his scoring statistics remain poorly below expectations.

So far this season, Hojlund has scored only two Premier League goals, along with going without a goal in his last 16 matches with United. The poor output from Cristiano Hojlund continues to worsen the dismay experienced by Ruben Amorim’s entire coaching team.

The frustration directed toward Hojlund became worse after his goalless performance at Everton because 17-year-old Chido Obi replaced him. The financial issues facing Manchester United have created an opportunity to sell Hojlund at a discount even though this could result in a loss on his transfer value.

Rasmus Hojlund Has Been Poor Thus Season

The team Napoli maintains strong professional ties with Manchester United after obtaining Scott McTominay during the summer and wishes to make a deal.

The Italian club might give Manchester United a bargain price to acquire Hojlund while preparing for his departure from Manchester. Napoli’s interest in Hojlund has received additional support from Antonio Conte because the manager believes he can return the striker to his successful Atalanta form.

The new offensive acquisitions at United failed to improve their performance. Bologna´s Summer acquisition, Zirkzee, has fallen short of Manchester United’s expectations while possibly facing a match in the next transfer period.

Amorim has continuously been connected to Viktor Gyokeres ever since the striker departed Sporting Lisbon yet this transfer scenario seems unlikely because of United’s potential European competition elimination.

Rumours suggest that Benjamin Sesko could join a list of potential forward acquisitions that Manchester United seeks to enhance their attacking direction.

Greater pressure for Manchester United to achieve better goal counts could force the team to seriously consider a willing but reluctant sale of Hojlund to Napoli.
