Manchester United are preparing to strengthen their midfield in January, with FC Porto sensation Victor Froholdt emerging as a leading target.

The 19-year-old Danish midfielder has become one of Europe’s most exciting young prospects, drawing serious attention from several top clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur.

According to Fichajes, United’s hierarchy are ready to test Porto’s resolve with an opening bid when the window reopens. Froholdt is under contract until 2030 and has a release clause of €85 million, though United believe negotiations could lower that figure.
