Rayan Ait-Nouri Transfer News

Ever since Manchester United lost out in the race to sign Nuno Mendes from Paris Saint-Germain, the Red Devils have set their sights on Wolverhampton Wanderers left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri.

Club insiders have revealed that United understand that Mendes is pursuing a new deal with the French powerhouse and moving to other targets.

Rayan Ait-Nouri has come out as a key contender to replace the left fullback position at Old Trafford based solely on his performance in this Premier League season.

Chelsea and Liverpool have been named to vie for the defender in the past but the young and talented Algerian has been rated as the target of many big names for some time now.

But now United consider him as a potential transfer target and is said to be willing to spend € 55- € 60 million to sign him for Manchester.

Although the price tag may appear to be a lot of money for a transfer fee, United know that signing Ait-Nouri makes good business sense.

The left-back has shown the capability of putting up with the pressure of the English league and has the qualities that the arriving new manager, Ruben Amorim, may be looking for in his squad.

Rayan Ait-Nouri Will Be Useful At Manchester United

The left-back has been able to accustom to English football well and has skills that will fit the new manager, Ruben Amorim, perfectly. By being able to both create and break forward, Ait-Nouri could fit into United’s system well as it continues to change.

To reduce the transfer fee, Manchester United is looking to include either Shaw or Tyrell Malacia in the deal. But it is still a big question whether Wolves will accept such an offer especially now that they are struggling in the lower part of the table.

Nevertheless, United wants Ait-Nouri to acquire more experience since they are willing to sign a long-term left-back in the summer. A great strength is the versatility of an Algerian international with Premier League experience, and at the young age of 23, there is always potential for growth.

However, due to the challenge Wolves are under to fight to remain in the English premier league, any mid-season signing may pose a problem.

The club might be reluctant to sell a crucial player at that time. Thus, United may have to wait for the transfer window to close before sealing the deal.

Getting to the final days of the January transfer window, it is still unclear whether United can lure Ait Nouri to their team or if they will have to look for other solutions for strengthening the defence.
