Alphonso Davies, Manchester United target

Manchester United have been said to have found an opening to snap up the Bavarian’s Alphonso Davies, given the conflict between the player and the club.

Alphonso Davies has an agreement with Bayern Munich, which will end in the summer and can talk with another team from the next January.

Although Manchester United and Real Madrid have been reported to show interest in signing him, the latest events indicate that United may have an edge in attracting the Toronto player.

They have got credible information from an insider, Christian Falk, that Davies’s’ agent, Nick Huoseh, is unhappy with Bayern Munich’s handling of their contract negotiations.

Alphonso Davies is 24 years of age and has a market value of £40.7 million.

Bayern Munich Is Being Reluctant To Renewing Alphonso Davies’ Contract

An onsite formal face-to-face meeting scheduled was foregone, and all discussions were transferred to a teleconference platform.

More notably, the Director of Sports for Bayern was not present at the meeting, which provoked Huoseh.

This situation has made Huoseh start looking for other clubs to be offered, like Manchester United and Real Madrid, among others.

As Bayern Munich now tries to make Davies sign a new contract, the tense contract discussions have opened up a window for rivals to pursue the Canadian international.

Real Madrid’s bid isn’t considerably more than Bayern at the moment, which may put Manchester United in a better position. The Red Devils have positioned themselves to give Davies the offer for him to consider moving to Old Trafford.

With the January transfer window fast approaching, United seem to be demonstrating great interest in Bayern Leverkusen’s Alphonso Davies, which might ease their hunt for fresh talent in the squad.

The outcome will depend on the club’s ability to address various market issues and resolve the relationship problems between Davies and Bayern Munich.
