Manchester United Plot Sensational £33M Move For England Star Marc Guehi – Will Crystal Palace Agree ?

In the January transfer window, Manchester United are believed to be plotting for a £33 million bid for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

The 24-year-old and English international has been an ever-present asset in the English Premier league this season, making 17 season appearances with 14 league appearances and has 2 goals and one assist to his name.

Marc Guehi Will Improve United’s Defence

United is interested in Guehi because of the absence of Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelöf, both whose deals are expiring at the end of the season.

Moreover, there is still no clarity regarding the club’s future with Harry Maguire, as there is a provision of a 12-month extension that may be triggered depending on his show in the second half of the 2024-25 season.

However, it’s not sure if Crystal Palace will accept a £33 million bid, having rejected bids that were worth £60 million. Club chairman Steve Parish has always stressed Guehi’s worth, adding that it would cost ‘superstar money’ to get him.

Marc Guehi signed a contract with Palace lasting until June 2026, although he has not signed a new deal yet, a possible summer transfer window could be a better window for United to have him.

Given that the club has several potential tangibles it requires to adequately complement its defense, in addition to Guehi’s current performance, this makes him the right candidate to promote United’s backline.
