Manchester United’s team and players are experiencing difficulties in form performance and outcomes, most often on the field. Since their win in the Manchester derby match, the team has struggled with goals scoring and leakage at the back.
This is a problem the manager, Ruben Amorim, should solve in the next transfer window in January. However, at the end of the summer, which is usually a huge spending period, United need to sell players to help purchase recruits – a difficult exercise due to the poor performances of some of the signings.
There are reports that Team Talk has confirmed that United are interested in Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi.
The young Italian has played only four matches for the Serie A champions this season but often comes on as a substitute. Nevertheless, Frattesi is an important player, who has already earned 25 international with 8 goals for Italy.
Will Davide Frattesi Be A Good Signing?
Let alone the fact that Frattesi can also play as a number 10, Manchester United may indeed need more depth and creativity in midfield and the youngster could be the perfect fit.
His versatility in playing from the midfield to the attack line and goals-scoring talent could fill the gap nicely. But doubts remain as to whether his abilities are a vast improvement on academy prospect Kobbie Mainoo.
Inter Milan is said to be interested in selling Davide Frattesi in the region of £41.5m; such a fee for a player who has not even been a first-team player at his current team.
Signing Frattesi may not be the most logical step for United due to its financial situation and other problems with the squad.
For now, United fans will have to wait and see whether the club chooses to make significant investments or focus on more pressing issues.
January could be a turning point for Amorim as the team aims to regain momentum in the season. Any moves made during the transfer window will be closely monitored as the club seeks to revive its campaign.
