Antony Transfer News

Manchester United’s Latest transfer news about Antony report claims that the Red Devils are presently in advanced talks with Real Betis over Brazilian winger Antony’s loan deal.

Manchester United’s board looks eager to cut the 24-year-old loose, at least on loan, after he failed to replicate his form that led to his £82 million move to the Red Devils in 2022 from Ajax, which could increase to £86 million, including bonuses.

At such a high price, Antony has only been able to bag 12 goals and five assists in 95 appearances, not to mention that the fans and management are not convinced.

There has been no pushover situation in arbitrating for Antony’s form this January, as Real Betis have come out as favourites.

The first negotiations were stalled after Betis insisted that the Red Devils should pay for a huge chunk of the £200,000-a-week wages of the winger, something that Manchester United was not willing to entertain.

Weekly Wages Of Antony In Manchester United Is High

Manchester United remains interested in selling Antony, but Spain’s Betis has gone from increasing the amount of money they are willing to spend on the player to taking on a large portion of Antony’s wages.

Recently, manager, Manuel Pellegrini is said to be keen on landing the Brazilian at the Benito Villamarín Stadium and is confident a deal will be agreed to quickly in order to outdo other clubs.

Despite the advances made in negotiation, there are still a few crucial factors that may hinder the completion of the agreement.

For instance, Antony himself is believed to have known that he probably last season at Old Trafford, though he is said to be comfortable with the transfer. On the other hand, Betis are stepping up their activities to clinch the deal at the soonest time possible.

This probably would be a new page in Antony’s career and would give him a chance to carry out his successful performance in La Liga. On the other hand, Manchester United can afford to cut down on their wage budget as well as create the path for new reinforcements before the transfer window.
