Manchester City Eyes Lille Lucas Chevalier As Ederson’s Long Term Replacement

Manchester City, the English premier league defending champions are already on the lookout for possible long term  replacement and successor to their number one goalie Ederson, and Manchester City have identified Lille’s goal keeper Luca Chevalier as a possible replacement for the Brazilian goal keeper.

Lille’s shot-stopper Lucas Chevalier, who’s impressive display in-between the sticks helped secure a narrow 1-0 win for Lille in the second leg of the 2024/2025 champions league fixtures against the reigning champions league champions, Real Madrid.

Manchester City’s Ederson who is gradually running down his contract with the premier league club, with just 18 months left on his contract, has been rumoured to be eyeing the possibility of a move to the Saudi pro league, which has recently been a go to league for many players in Europe.

Apart from Manchester City, it has been rumoured that Newcastle United are also monitoring the situation of the 22 years old Lille’s French goal keeper who as had a steady rise from Lille’s academy right into the senior, making a total of 91 appearances, and a total of 36 clean sheets for Lille.
