The Chelsea forward Joao Felix started a new athletic journey after becoming AC Milan’s loan player during this year’s remaining season.
He makes this move six months after arriving at Chelsea from Atlético Madrid as part of a new attempt to secure the proper playing time for the Portuguese national.
Félix suffered an underwhelming performance since Chelsea acquired his £46 million services in August 2022. The 25-year-old currently finds himself struggling to start regularly on the pitch since he has only played in nine matches across all competitions but mainly as a substitute in cup competitions.
Premier League match appearances serve mainly as bench duties for Félix which has sparked uncertainty about his Chelsea football career duration.
AC Milan Paid £5 Million For Joao Felix Loan
AC Milan purchased Joao Felix under a short-term deal that costs £5 million without any compulsion to turn it into a permanent transfer thus providing the player time to recover his top performance level.
The move to Milan will bring him to a team which recently acquired defender Kyle Walker from Manchester City while he hopes to quickly establish himself in the Serie A lineup.
The Chelsea head coach, Enzo Maresca, frequently speaks about Félix’s difficulties playing for the club. Maresca has specified that Félix’s playing time dwindled sharply after Cole Palmer secured the Number 10 starting position which Félix originally wanted to play.
Félix played seven matches for Chelsea, resulting in seven goals scored, but he managed to get his Premier League debut goal in a 6-2 victory at Wolves.
Joao Felix made his most valuable goal contributions during cup matches including four Conference League goals that advanced the team to the last 16 and two FA Cup goals scored against Morecambe in the third round.
The promising skills Félix demonstrated during his previous time with Barcelona have failed to deliver consistent results to satisfy Chelsea supporters. The former Chelsea player joins a squad of four ex-Chelsea teammates in Sergio Conceição’s team to restart his career in Italian football.
