Rumours linking Palmeiras striker Vitor Roque with a Premier League move have been shut down, with both Chelsea and Tottenham firmly denying any interest.

Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola revealed on his YouTube channel that he contacted Chelsea directly, and their response was categorical. “The name is completely ruled out. Chelsea never thought about, nor intends to think about, signing Vitor Roque,” he said.

Palmeiras also confirmed they have not received any contact or formal offers.

According to Nicola, the club believes the speculation “comes from people close to Vitor trying to give him visibility abroad.” Despite whispers of English interest, the São Paulo side remain calm about their striker’s future.

Palmeiras Confident in Vitor Roque Future

Tottenham were also rumoured to be monitoring Roque amid Richarlison’s struggles and Dominic Solanke’s injury.

However, Nicola clarified that Spurs already have two centre-forwards ahead of the 19-year-old in their plans. Palmeiras, meanwhile, have no intention of selling their star.

The Brazilian club paid £21 million (€25 million) to sign Roque from Barcelona and see him as a key part of their long-term project.

After difficult spells in Spain with Barcelona and Real Betis, Roque has rediscovered his rhythm in Brazil.

He has scored 17 goals and provided four assists in 46 appearances for Abel Ferreira’s team this season, cementing his reputation as one of the country’s brightest young forwards.

With both Chelsea and Tottenham distancing themselves, Roque looks set to continue leading Palmeiras’ attack — at least for now.
