Manchester United are reportedly preparing a €50 million (£44 million) offer for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jobe Bellingham ahead of the January transfer window.

According to Fichajes, the Red Devils see the 20-year-old as a key piece in their long-term midfield rebuild under Rubén Amorim.

Amorim’s side have shown signs of improvement after a poor start to the season, recording three straight wins against Sunderland, Liverpool, and Brighton.

Now sixth in the Premier League, United’s hierarchy wants to strengthen further, focusing on young talent that fits the manager’s tactical structure.

Jobe Bellingham mixed spell at Dortmund

Jobe Bellingham’s time in Germany has not gone as planned. Since his £25 million move from Sunderland in the summer, he has struggled to establish himself, making just two Bundesliga starts and failing to score in 11 appearances.

Off-field tensions have also added pressure, with his father clashing with Dortmund officials earlier in the season.

Despite his potential, the midfielder’s situation has attracted growing interest from Premier League clubs. United believe a €50 million proposal could tempt Dortmund, who may be open to negotiation if a strong offer arrives.

However, the Daily Mirror reports that Bellingham has “no interest” in joining United, mainly because Amorim’s team are not competing in the Champions League. The young midfielder reportedly intends to fight for his place in Germany rather than leave prematurely.

As Manchester United continue exploring midfield options, Bayern Munich’s Aleksandar Pavlovic and Stuttgart’s Angelo Stiller remain on their shortlist. But Bellingham’s profile – youthful, dynamic, and technically gifted – makes him the standout target if they can convince him to join.
