Bayern Munich are preparing for another busy transfer window as they look to sign a reliable backup for Harry Kane.

According to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, the Bundesliga champions have identified Hoffenheim forward Fisnik Asllani as one of their main targets for next summer.

Asllani, 23, has been in fine form this season, registering five goals and one assist in the Bundesliga. The Albanian international, who rose through Hoffenheim’s academy, is now viewed as one of the league’s most promising attacking talents.

Bayern sporting director Max Eberl is said to be impressed with his progress and has already been informed about the player’s release clause.

Depth behind Kane remains a priority

Harry Kane’s arrival transformed Bayern’s attack, but his workload remains heavy, with 20 goals already this season. The club’s coaching staff are eager to bring in a dependable backup who can rotate effectively without compromising quality.

Bayern’s search for depth up front has been ongoing. Their summer pursuit of Nick Woltemade failed when he chose Newcastle United, while Nicolas Jackson’s loan move from Chelsea has yet to convince the hierarchy. Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic was also discussed, but interest in the Serbian has since cooled.

Asllani’s profile — mobile, clinical, and Bundesliga-proven — makes him an appealing option. He is expected to leave Hoffenheim next summer, with Barcelona also monitoring his situation.
