Ballon D’or : Manchester City’s Rodri Has Been Crowned 2024 Ballon D’or Men’s Winner

Rodrigo of Manchester city has been named as the winner of the 2024 Ballon D’or men’s winner in the French capital of Paris, Rodri has piped Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior to the prestigious award, after the Brazilian was been touted for a long time as the player to win the award.

Manchester City midfielder becomes the first premier league since Cristiano Ronaldo in 2008 to receive the prestigious award.

Rodri beat Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham and Dani Carvajal to clinch the prestigious award.

Vinicius Junior responding to the announcement of Rodri as the winner of the award posted on his x (twitter) account saying “I’ll do it 10 times if i have to. They’re not ready.”

Rodri who enjoyed a stand out 2023/2024 season in Manchester city winning his fourth consecutive premier league trophy and also winning the Euro 2024 trophy his country Spain.

Rodri also emerged as the best player in the Euro 2024 tournament in Germany in the summer.
