Rodrygo Transfer News

Arsenal’s 4-0 demolition of Atletico Madrid in the Champions League was more than just a win — it was a statement.

Goals from Viktor Gyokeres, who netted twice, and Gabriel Martinelli lifted Mikel Arteta’s side to nine points from three games, marking a flawless start to their European campaign.

Yet despite the attacking brilliance, Arteta remains eager to strengthen his forward line.

According to Football Transfers, Arsenal are once again targeting Real Madrid star Rodrygo Goes, a player long admired by the club.

The Gunners tracked him throughout the summer window but failed to reach an agreement, with the Brazilian opting to stay in Madrid.

However, life under Xabi Alonso has been far from ideal. Rodrygo has started just two of nine La Liga fixtures this season, and frustration could soon build if his situation doesn’t improve.

Rodrygo Fit in Arteta’s Vision

Real Madrid reportedly value the winger at around £87 million — a fee that previously discouraged both Arsenal and Liverpool.

Yet, should his limited minutes continue, Madrid might entertain new offers in 2025.

For Arsenal, Rodrygo represents the kind of dynamic attacker who fits seamlessly into Arteta’s high-tempo, possession-based system.

He offers pace, flair, and creativity — traits that could elevate Arsenal’s flanks beyond the likes of Leandro Trossard and even Martinelli.

His arrival would also allow Eberechi Eze to focus solely on competing with Martin Ødegaard in the number 10 role, while Rodrygo’s versatility across the front line would give Arteta tactical flexibility.

Rodrygo has admitted that he received offers during the summer but remains loyal to Madrid for now. However, if playing time continues to dwindle and Arsenal maintain their upward trajectory, a transfer could make sense for all parties.

Should Arsenal act decisively next summer, the Brazilian could be the final piece in their quest for European glory — a signing that signals not just ambition, but readiness to conquer the continent.
