The recent Premier League season for Arsenal has been extinguished as the team failed to capitalize on some crucial fixtures that could have seen them demean the lead of Liverpool.

The Gunners have first been held to a draw against Fulham, who have shown good form this season, and secondly, a draw against the struggling Everton team that makes them sit six points behind the leaders.

This Arsenal side has been rather uneven, and especially in recent matches, deep creative play in the opposition half has been lacking at times.

Even where it has paid off they have demonstrated a lack of ability to create opportunities during fluid play. What has compounded this in the eyes of Arteta and his coaching team is the lack of diversification in the team’s attacking prowess.

Some believe that Arsenal needs new attacking players, while pundits think that there are very few talented forwards, and even Kai Havertz, who rarely scores goals now alone, cannot commit to the task.

In response to such worries, the English outfit is said to be interested in signing Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic in the January transfer window.

The Turin-based club has benefited from the performances of the Serbian forward, who has caught the eye of many clubs across the continent.

Arsenal, And Others Are Interested In Dusan Vlahovic

Arsenal’s approach seems to be endorsed by a report from CaughtOffside that Arsenal believes Dusan Vlahovic could be just the perfect striker who can help them overcome their perennial issue of scoring.

However, they are up against some of the big boys in Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City from the English premiership as well as Paris Saint-Germain of France.

Dusan Vlahovic stands to cost Arsenal well over £58 million and that will make him Arsenal’s fourth biggest signing of all time.

He is, anyway, a worth purchasing option given his goal-scoring talent, even though his price is high. In short, Arsenal have been firing blanks despite registering 29 goals.

In contrast, Vlahovic managed to score 11 goals in 19 matches in Serie A and the Champions League this season, more than any Arsenal player.

Arsenal could well have a new and improved season should they manage to sign the highly rated Vlahovic.
