Alphonso Davies is currently enmeshed in a contract saga between two of Europes biggest football clubs, his current club Bayern Munich, and the Spanish giants, Real Madrid.

Real Madrid made a move to sign Alphonso Davies in the recently closed summer transfer window from Bayern Munich, but Real Madrid where only willing to part with €25 million for Davies, which Bayern turned down.

Alphonso Davies only has a year left on his contract with Bayern Munich, which obviously was the major reason Real Madrid refused to up their bid for the Canadian left back.

Since Bayern Munich gambled on not selling Alphonso Davies to Real Madrid for the €25 million Real Madrid where offering, it mostly like looks like Real Madrid will eventually get their man on a free by summer of 2025 when his contract with Bayern Munich would have elapsed.

Real Madrid will likely be pulling their famous Mbappe move on Alphonso Davies, which will be advising him to hold out on extending his contract with Bayern Munich, so he could finally move to the Santiago Bernabeau on a free. This was the exact move that Real Madrid pulled when trying to sign Kylian Mbappe from PSG.

As it stands right now, Alphonso Davies has refused advances from his current club Bayern Munich to sign a contract extension, which is primarily because of Real Madrid, who are waiting for him to run down his contract by the end of the season, when they will be able to sign him on a free.

Real Madrid is a football club that every football player wants to play for, apart from Real Madrid having the financial capacity to pull any player they want, Real Madrid is a club that most footballer will see as a honour to play for.
