Alphonso Davies secured his Bayern Munich future when he signed a multi-year extension until June 30, 2030 which eliminated any remaining European club interests in his transfer.
Complete negotiations with Bayern Munich pushed the Canadian fullback into a new contract agreement, which sealed his extension until June 30, 2030, while Real Madrid, among others, shifted their attention elsewhere.
The latest agreement has successfully put an end to transfer speculations about Davies moving to another club.
The 24-year-old Davies serves as an essential member of Bayern Munich’s winning success as he recovers from the muscle strain injury he incurred to his left hamstring on January 22 against Feyenoord which resulted in a 3-0 Champions League defeat.
Although the injury currently prevents him from playing Davies shows excellent potential for the future.

In July 2018 Davies signed with Bayern Munich as a record-breaking transfer from Vancouver Whitecaps at the end of their season.
Since his Bayern Munich signing in 2018, Davies has become a champion multiple times, forming an impressive collection of trophies which includes five Bundesliga titles (2019 through 2023), two DFB Cups, the 2020 UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, multiple DFL Supercups, and the 2020 FIFA Club World Cup.

The international soccer community recognizes Davies as a shining ambassador for Canadian national soccer. He received Canada Soccer Player of the Year honours in 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2022 before earning the two CONCACAF Player of the Year trophies in 2021 and 2022.
Davies represented his home nation through 56 games and scored 16 goals which led him to participate in Canada’s World Cup team in Qatar as they scored their historic goal against Croatia before losing 4-1.
Davies relocated to Canada at five years old after his birth in a refugee camp of Liberian parents who found refuge in Ghana to escape civil war.
The Whitecaps inked him as a homegrown player at 15 before he moved on to Bayern Munich at 17 based on his developing abilities, which signalled his potential for a distinguished professional career.
