Manchester City who have lost their prolific midfield machine Rodri to ACL for the remainder of the season, which is a great cause for concern for the cityzens and they would be needing an urgent replacement, if they really want to defend their Premier League title this season.
Manchester City are however looking to cover up for the absence of their midfielder Rodri, who limped off in the first half of their match which ended in a 2-2 draw against Arsenal in their Premier League match, by considering a move for long term Manchester United target Frankie De Jong from Barcelona.
Frenkie De Jong who has had a fall out with the Barcelona hierarchy for a while now, and who has not been in action for a long time, will likely see this move as a good opportunity to get back to constant action on the field of play.
Manchester City are looking to go into the market in the January transfer window to bring in Frenkie De Jong as a replacement for Rodri.
Manchester City have made a €60m (£50m) offer for Frenkie De Jong, which personally i see as a good offer for the Netherlands international, but resources say that the Catalan giants are holding out for €80m and will not settle for less than €80m (£67m) which is practically the same amount they paid Ajax for his services, which means Man City will have to improve their offer if they want to sign De Jong.
