Chelsea are reportedly preparing a major offer worth between €70m and €75m to sign Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.

The French international has been a key player for Los Blancos since joining from Rennes, and Xabi Alonso is said to consider him untouchable in his long-term project.

According to reports from Defensa Central, Chelsea view Camavinga as a transformational signing who could anchor their midfield for years.

The Blues are impressed by his versatility, with the 22-year-old capable of operating as a defensive midfielder, central midfielder, or even left-back when required.

His tactical intelligence and maturity have made him one of Europe’s most complete young midfielders.

Madrid reluctant, Alonso sees Eduardo Camavinga as key piece

Real Madrid, however, are not keen to entertain any offers at this stage. Alonso is gradually reintegrating Camavinga into the starting lineup following his early-season injury and believes he will be vital to Madrid’s domestic and European ambitions.

The club’s leadership also see him as part of their next-generation core alongside Jude Bellingham, Aurélien Tchouaméni, and Federico Valverde.

While Chelsea hope their offer might test Madrid’s resolve, a mid-season deal appears unlikely. The London club could revisit their pursuit next summer if they fail to strengthen adequately in January. Real, for their part, have previously shown interest in Enzo Fernández, which has sparked speculation about a potential swap arrangement, though no talks have yet been confirmed.

For now, Camavinga remains committed to Madrid, but Chelsea’s growing intent signals their readiness to spend big again as they rebuild under new leadership.
