Daniel Muñoz Transfer News

Barcelona have reportedly submitted their opening offer for Crystal Palace right-back Daniel Muñoz, with Fichajes claiming Hansi Flick considers the Colombian a priority target.

The bid, believed to be around €30 million (£26 million), signals Barça’s intent to secure the deal quickly before competition intensifies.

The move aligns with sporting director Deco’s mission to strengthen both full-back roles while respecting La Liga’s strict financial rules.

With Jules Koundé currently filling in on the right, Flick wants a specialist full-back capable of balancing defence and attack.

Muñoz, 29, has impressed at Palace with his consistency, drive, and versatility since joining from Genk, making him an ideal candidate for Flick’s tactical setup.

Muñoz’s Premier League experience has made him one of Crystal Palace’s standout performers.

His stamina, overlapping runs, and tackling have earned praise across Europe, and Barcelona see him as a player who could fit multiple systems — from traditional right-back to wing-back or part of a back three.

Sources close to the player describe him as mature and physically suited to La Liga, combining pace with strong defensive awareness. However, Palace are under no pressure to sell.

Muñoz’s contract runs until 2028, giving the club control in talks. They reportedly view Barcelona’s €30 million offer as a starting point, not a final figure.

Barcelona’s pursuit comes amid ongoing financial limits under La Liga’s 1:1 spending rule.

Deco is exploring sales and salary cuts to create space for new arrivals, possibly delaying major moves until next summer. Still, Flick remains keen to add a reliable full-back who can provide balance and intensity on the right flank.

For Barça, Muñoz represents both a tactical upgrade and a strategic investment — a player ready to step straight into top-level football while helping restore defensive stability at the Camp Nou.
