Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close watch on VfB Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller ahead of the January transfer window.
The 24-year-old German international has impressed across the Bundesliga, and his performances have made him one of the most sought-after midfielders in Europe.
Stiller joined Stuttgart from Hoffenheim in 2023 and played a pivotal role in their DFB-Pokal triumph in 2025.
He was also named in The Athletic’s Bundesliga Team of the Season, solidifying his reputation as a top-tier playmaker.
Stuttgart are expected to demand over €50 million (£43 million) for his services, though a summer move appears more likely than a winter one.
A Calm Controller in Midfield
Football insider Florian Plettenberg reports that Stiller is “very open” to joining United, who are scouting midfield reinforcements ahead of next season.

Unlike Casemiro or Manuel Ugarte, Stiller isn’t known for his physicality, but for his composure, positioning, and ability to dictate tempo — traits reminiscent of Joshua Kimmich, who has publicly praised him as a “brave” player with “no fear.”
In 117 Bundesliga appearances, Stiller has contributed six goals and 18 assists, showcasing his eye for progressive passing and tactical awareness.
His arrival could offer Ruben Amorim a new dimension — a technical midfielder capable of orchestrating play from deep rather than relying solely on defensive strength.
With Brighton’s Carlos Baleba valued at £100 million and Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton also commanding a high fee, Stiller presents a more affordable yet highly intelligent alternative.
If United secure his signature, he could be the missing link in a midfield that’s shifting toward precision and control rather than brute force.
