Barcelona have reportedly turned their attention to Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as they plan for life after Robert Lewandowski.
According to reports from Tuttosport, relayed by Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan giants view the Serbian forward as a key target for the 2026 summer transfer window, following Manchester United’s capture of Benjamin Sesko
The reigning La Liga champions are already preparing for the departure of Robert Lewandowski, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the current season.
While the Polish striker has been a prolific presence since arriving from Bayern Munich in 2022 — scoring 105 goals in 156 appearances — Barcelona’s hierarchy has accepted that the 37-year-old is nearing the end of his cycle at the club.
Sporting director Deco has been assessing potential replacements for some time, with the club keen on signing a younger, physically dominant forward capable of leading the line for years to come.
Benjamin Sesko was originally high on Barca’s list, but the 22-year-old Slovenian opted to join Manchester United for £74 million in August, leaving Barcelona disappointed.
Dusan Vlahovic Emerges as Barcelona’s New Target
In the aftermath of the Sesko deal, Deco and his recruitment team shifted focus to Dusan Vlahovic — a player they believe possesses the right blend of power, finishing ability, and experience at the top level.

The 25-year-old Juventus striker is entering the final year of his contract, and talks over an extension in Turin have reportedly stalled.
Barcelona are closely monitoring the situation, with Deco said to have met the player’s representatives in August to gauge his availability and wage expectations.
Vlahovic, who has rediscovered his form this season, is open to exploring new challenges and could be available as a free agent in 2026 — a scenario that suits Barcelona’s delicate financial position.
Juventus and the Player’s Situation
Juventus were open to selling Vlahovic during the last transfer window but failed to find a suitable buyer.
The Serbian international, who joined the club from Fiorentina in 2022, has endured an up-and-down spell in Turin but seems to have regained confidence this season, scoring four goals in eight appearances across all competitions.
Despite his improved performances, Juventus are hesitant to meet his salary demands in a renewal, and the player’s preference is reportedly to run down his contract. This would allow him to leave on a free transfer — increasing his leverage in negotiations with top European clubs.
Interest from Bayern Munich and Others
Barcelona are not alone in their pursuit. Bayern Munich are also keeping close tabs on Vlahovic, viewing him as a potential successor to Harry Kane should the Englishman’s release clause be activated by another club in the future.
Other Premier League sides are believed to be monitoring developments as well, though Barcelona’s early contact could give them an advantage.
