Despite boasting the best defensive unit in the Premier League, Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on Eintracht Frankfurt defender Nathaniel Brown.
The 22-year-old has emerged as one of the Bundesliga’s standout left-backs, earning widespread praise for his athleticism, tactical awareness, and attacking contributions.
Brown, who is eligible to represent both Germany and the United States, recently received his first senior call-up to the German national team and made his debut in a 4-0 victory over Luxembourg.
His rise has not gone unnoticed, with German outlet BILD claiming that Arsenal, along with Real Madrid and Manchester City, have shown concrete interest in his services.
The young defender is said to be valued at around £52 million by Frankfurt, where he has quickly become an indispensable figure.
His versatility—capable of playing as a traditional left-back or in a wing-back role—would add valuable depth to Arteta’s options, particularly given Arsenal’s packed fixture schedule and ambitions on multiple fronts.
At present, the Gunners rotate between Riccardo Calafiori and Myles Lewis-Skelly on the left, while Jurrien Timber and Piero Hincapie can also fill in when required.
However, the addition of Brown would give Arsenal another long-term solution and maintain healthy competition within the squad.
Arteta Receives Welcome Fitness Boost
In more positive news for Arsenal, Mikel Arteta has received a timely boost on the injury front.
Both Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli returned from international duty with Brazil without any major fitness concerns.
Magalhaes was rested during Brazil’s 3-2 defeat to Japan after completing the full 90 minutes in a 5-0 win over South Korea last week.

The decision to bench him appears to have been precautionary, ensuring he returns to London fresh ahead of Saturday’s match.
Martinelli, meanwhile, featured prominently against Japan, providing an attacking spark despite Brazil’s disappointing result.
His involvement is another encouraging sign for Arteta, who will be keen to have both players fully fit as Arsenal prepare for a demanding October schedule.
With the title race already shaping up to be fiercely competitive, the Gunners’ trip to Craven Cottage offers a key opportunity to extend their advantage at the top.
Victory over Fulham would not only strengthen their position but also send a statement of intent to their rivals before Liverpool’s clash with Manchester United the following day.
