Michael Olise Transfer News

The transfer rumour mill continues to swirl, and fresh reports from German outlet BILD suggest Liverpool have renewed their interest in Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise.

The French winger has developed into one of Europe’s most dynamic young forwards since his move from Crystal Palace last summer, and Premier League clubs are beginning to circle once again.

Olise’s impact in Germany has been immediate. With 20 goals and 23 assists across 55 appearances for Bayern, his numbers underline why he has become such a coveted figure. Liverpool are not alone in monitoring his progress.

According to BILD’s Christian Falk, Chelsea and Manchester City – both of whom had the player in their youth systems before letting him go – are also tracking his rise and may look to correct past mistakes.

Bayern’s stance on Michael Olise

Bayern have wasted no time in responding to speculation. Determined to keep one of their prized assets, the Bundesliga champions are preparing to extend Olise’s contract until 2031.

The new deal would include a significant salary increase, with reports suggesting his annual wage could rise from €12 million plus bonuses.

Sporting director Max Eberl made Bayern’s position clear, stating:

“He still has over three and a half years left on his contract and will increasingly be a decisive factor in FC Bayern’s game and shape the future of this team, if it is up to us: the longer, the better.”

That commitment underlines how central Olise has become to Bayern’s long-term project.

A lengthy deal without an exit clause means any club attempting to lure him away would need extraordinary financial resources, making a move complex and unlikely in the short term.

Liverpool’s long-term planning

For Liverpool, interest in Olise speaks to a wider reality. Mohamed Salah, now in the latter stages of his career at Anfield, cannot be relied upon indefinitely.

Identifying a genuine successor to carry the team’s attacking threat has become a key priority for the club’s recruitment team.

At 24, Olise fits the mould of a player capable of easing that transition. He combines pace, creativity, and maturity with an ability to both score and assist at a high level, attributes that make him one of Europe’s most complete young forwards.

While Bayern currently hold all the cards, Liverpool’s continued presence in the conversation is telling. The Premier League remains a powerful draw for many players, and in the long run, the Reds’ stature and forward planning could keep them in contention should circumstances change.

For now, however, Bayern appear firm in their stance. Olise’s rise has been swift, but his immediate future looks firmly tied to Munich.
