Joao Felix Transfer News

Joao Felix has made a late request to depart Chelsea Stamford Bridge before the upcoming deadline according to reports.

João Félix has asked Chelsea to let him leave as he has been unable to play regularly under Enzo Maresca since his permanent return to Stamford Bridge from 2022-23 on loan.

The Madrid-based Atlético sold Félix to Chelsea for £45million while he originally cost the Spanish team £100 million during his 2019 transfer.

The seven-year contract he signed has turned into a transitional period where he plays only these three matches of Chelsea’s twenty-three Premier League games this season.

Félix faces limited starts in Chelsea matches because Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke, Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho have eclipsed him in the attacking position thus inflaming his frustration.

The Transfers Podcast reports that Félix aims to move out during the current transfer period. Staying at Chelsea could result in worse conditions because the team is pursuing Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho toward the end of the transfer window which would reduce his playing odds further.

Aston Villa and AC Milan Are Both Interested In Joao Felix

Club Aston Villa maintain interest in Félix as their manager, Unai Emery, intends to sign him at Villa Park. Villa managers conducted talks this week while waiting for Jhon Durán to arrive at Saudi club Al-Nassr as they view Félix as their preferred offensive option.

Nevertheless, he does not fill the position occupied by Durán, who serves best at center-forward.

AC Milan continues to monitor Félix while constantly investigating the possibility of acquiring Feyenoord striker Santiago Giménez. The Italian club shows signs of pursuing a deal though communication between both parties is just starting.

The January transfer period has remained moderate for Chelsea as they prioritize releasing selected players from their team. Defender Axel Disasi might depart Chelsea to join Aston Villa this season, according to reports about his potential transfer before the February deadline.
