Various clubs have been linked with the AC Milan player Fikayo Tomori, including Tottenham Hotspur.
But as per the latest report from Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur is not the only club interested in Tomori, as Juventus is likely to join the queue anytime soon.
Even with a revealed interest for a new centre-back, Spurs have so far not closed vital deals for reinforcements. Their defensive weakness has already brought them some losses in recent weeks, and this has provoked fans and other experts who watch this league.
The January window is at its late stage and Tottenham have time on their side, but this could easily turn into a disadvantage as they struggle to decide.
Fikayo Tomori, who has hardly featured for Milan this season, has been tipped to make a return to the English Premier League.
Some reports have gone as far as to claim that the Italian giants have offered him to Tottenham directly, and while Ange Postecoglou’s side is now carefully weighing up its options, there is now belief that a formal bid may be forthcoming.
Juventus Is Also Interested In Fikayo Tomori
However, Romano’s latest updates show that Juventus are currently in the queue to build Tomori, with Thiago Motta said to be eager to enhance his side’s backline.
Spurs’ anticipation of making a concrete bid for the player in the next couple of days could make Arsenal their competition in the process.
Spurs and Juventus are, however, not the only clubs who have shown interest in Tomori. Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Brighton are some of the premier league clubs that are closely eyeing him.
Noteworthy, Brentford and West Ham have been named as other clubs that could possibly become involved in a bidding battle.
Although Tottenham have not given up the desire to sign Tomori, they can lose sight of a player who could bring an excellent impulse for improvement in the defensive squad while having a good pace, composure, and defensive understanding.
There are several clubs interested in him, making Spurs likely to negotiate fast if they are to get the 26-year-old player before the window closes.
In conclusion, it is still hard to predict the future of Tomori. However, it seems sure that the outstanding, talented central defender won’t lack offers shortly.
While it’s uncertain if Tottenham can achieve this, Postecoglou’s commitment suggests a strong possibility.
