Eric Garcia Linked With Girona Return As Barcelona Weighs January Exit

As the January transfer window draws to its final couple of weeks for clubs playing in Europe’s major football leagues, Barcelona will be forced to contemplate letting a number of their players go, and out of the potential candidates, youngster Eric García appears to be the most serious one.

After having talked mostly about Fati, Garcia is still a big unknown. The Spanish defender seems to have been targeted by Girona who want to add more depth in that department this winter.

Girona has been linked with a move for Eric Garcia for a while now. Their sporting director, Quique Cárcel, affirmed their interest recently and said in an interview that the club wanted to try to sign defender Eric García in the summer.

He remains a Barcelona player and is actually playing well.

Girona tried to sign him during the summer of last year, but the transfer never happened. Now, however, they seem bent on revisiting the deal.
