There appear to be strong links that Serie A club Atalanta is interested in signing the French defender – Axel Disasi – from the Blues since he could be leaving Chelsea to seek more regular playing time.
TuttoAtalanta reports that some clubs have been following Disasi’s status as he looks for more playing time in the second half of the current campaign.
The central defender, who signed for Chelsea in August from AS Monaco, has failed to make a permanent place in the starting eleven under manager Mauricio Pochettino and rumours of his exit.
Juventus have shown prior interest in Disasi but they have gone cold on him and are now chasing other defensive targets. On the other hand, Atalanta has been more involved in the English market and views Disasi as an addendum to their defence lineup.
Will Axel Disasi Consider A Move to Atalanta?
Nevertheless, combative offers for the French international are likely to be presented; Bundesliga clubs have also been named as being interested in making bids.
Ultimately, the decision will rest with Disasi. When teams receive offers for players, they evaluate the options available to them.
For Atalanta, while they might see Disasi as a potential asset to enhance their defence, they must also keep other alternatives in consideration, such as Martin Erlić.
Erlić, a Croatian defender currently playing for Sassuolo, has also caught the attention of Parma, which is reportedly interested in acquiring him. Interested in acquiring him.
On the other hand, Atalanta’s focus on strengthening its backline shows the team’s desire as Serie A continues to progress. Playing in Ligue 1 and now the Premier League, Disasi might bring a different facet and toughness to Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad.
To Disasi a transfer to Atalanta or any other European team is always a good opportunity to change the team, where he does not get regular appearances and gain the experience he needs.
His future depends on the progress of the January transfer window, at least in the sense that Atalanta needs to find a way to bring in a player that will help the team face these challenges defensively.
