Kyle Walker Transfer News

According to the latest information, AC Milan has moved to the front of the line for the signing of Manchester City full-back Kyle Walker, whose transfer request has been handed to City

The English international aged 34 years, who became City captain 18 months ago, may be keen to try something new elsewhere.

Walker rejected a chance to sign for the Bayern Munich team some time ago but is happy to consider a move to Milan. An official bid has not been made yet, but the Italy-based Serie A club is reported to be eyeing to clinch the deal in due course.

Walker signed a new deal to stay at the Etihad Stadium until 2026, but he has told the City’s sporting director, Txiki Begiristain, that he wants to leave the club.

Sadly, this decision saw him leave out of the Pep Guardiola team during the 8-0 drubbing of League Two side Salford City in the FA Cup.

Guardiola, although surprised by the decision of Walker, did not name the destination of the defender.

Kyle Walker Is On His Way To AC Milan

According to some sources, clubs like Milan have shown interest in the player, while recent reports point towards clubs in the Saudi Pro League, therefore intensifying the suspense as to where his next destination will be.

After signing for Manchester City from Tottenham Hotspur in a £50 million deal in August 2017, the right-back has had bitter success at the Etihad.

He has won six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, League Cups four times, a Club World Cup, and the hard-to-come-by Champions League for the side, making him one of the most celebrated footballers in the team.

This signing of Walker tells Milan’s intentions of adding more depth in the defence department as they try to sustain the pace in both Serie A and Europe.

It would be the start of a new adventure in his career if Walker signs for Milan. Given that the negotiations are expected to move quickly, the January transfer window could well witness one of England’s most travelled players turning out for the Rossoneri.
