Kang-in Lee Transfer News

Another player on Manchester United’s wish list is South Korean Kang-in Lee, who has been impressing at PSG this season, according to Fichajes.

PSG purchased him for €22 million in 2023 from Mallorca; the 23-year-old has proven quite versatile.

Kang-in Lee, primarily an attacking midfielder in the team, has been in different positions due to Luis Enrique’s 4-3-3 formation system.

Being a left-footer, he has mostly played as an inside right winger who likes to come inside the box and has been tried as a second striker.

To date, he has scored six goals and contributed two assists, appearing in 24 matches in all competitions for the current season and is considered the future star of European football.

Some sources have speculated that Manchester United consider Lee as their attacker/midfielder for the future, given the uncertainties concerning Rashford and Garnacho.

Rashford has been a regular in Manchester United’s starting line-up in recent seasons but has not been included in manager Ruben Amorim’s squad for the last four games.

However, Garnacho has not been in a position to sign a new deal with the team and there is little that shows his long time for the club.

Man United And Newcastle Will Battle For Kang-in Lee

But the Red Devils are not the only Premier League side to have watchful eyes on Lee. Newcastle United are also said to be keen and have made approaches, including those before the Red Devils. ‘Both clubs are reportedly considering Lee’s possibility, PSG has set a €40 million price tag for the player.’

Still, the attacking options presented by Lee and his form are too great for any team to ignore, and thus, he is worth the shot.

In the case of United, his creative potential could give a lot of value and variety to the team’s roster. At the same time, Newcastle may view him as an addition to their increasingly developing aspirations of Eddie Howe.

If either of these clubs is willing to pay the £85m that PSG has set as its price for Lee remains to be seen, there is bound to be stiffer competition in the coming days as the January transfer window enters its later weeks.
