Victor Osimhen Transfer Saga: Manchester United continue with the search for potential reinforcements during this January transfer window despite having less than two fortnights to go before the window closes on January 31st.
Manager Ruben Amorim is eager to add more players to his squad, and recent events indicate moves that could see the club make a big attack on the market.
One interesting subject discussed has been United showing a strong inclination toward acquiring the services of the lethal forward of Galatasaray, Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian forward, who is on loan from Napoli, has been inspirational this season having scored 13 goals in only 16 matches for the Turkish side.
Recent updates claim that Osimhen’s contract signed has a clause of €90 million (£75 million) buyout and United might be willing to activate it.
Manchester United Needs A Striker Like Victor Osimhen
On Business Day, Manchester United proposed the transfer of Osimhen from Napoli; there are talks. Osimhen’s loan agreement with Galatasaray also comes with a break clause but does not enable the two clubs to unilaterally end the deal.
Napoli is being linked with Manchester’s side’s interest in a move in their star striker, which could pave the way for United to sign the player before the stipulated transfer window closes.
United joins the race to sign Osimhen at a time when the team is struggling to get back to its best. After a string of difficult fixtures, the Red Devils clinched a fighting 2-2 stalemate against Liverpool in the English Premier League match played on Sunday.
Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo netted goals that gave Manchester United a rare point, but more firepower is sorely needed.
The aforementioned Nigerian Osimhen, who is characterized by pace, strength and clinical finishing, is arguably what United requires in the upcoming season to rise to the UEFA Champions League and fight for honours.
His potential transfer would certainly signify this from the side of the club as they seek to recover from their previous poor performance barren run.
With time running out on the January transfer window, all eyes will be on Old Trafford to see whether the Man-United will clinch the deal for one of Europe’s hottest striker targets.
