The future of Randal Kolo Muani at Paris Saint-Germain is uncertain as the January transfer window approaches.
Regardless of the €76 million transfer paid for him when he made a move to PSG in 2023 from Eintracht Frankfurt, the 26-year-old forward has barely been Impressive so far.
Having featured in only 453 minutes in all competitions this season, Muani’s position in Luis Enrique’s squad remains unclear this year after the manager omitted him from the last three PSG games in 2024.
The French international interest is rising from the premier league sides. As per TEAMtalk, Chelsea are at the front of the queue for his signing, with the Blues needing Muani’s ability to play in several positions in the final third.
Arsenal are also monitoring his progress, with manager Mikel Arteta considering a move for the attacker in January. In the meantime, Tottenham Hotspur, who have injury problems, have laced on Muani as the forward under Ange Postecoglou.
Should PSG Sell Randal Kolo Muani?
PSG now faces a pivotal decision: keep their star Muani for more depth or sell him because of the rising European giants’ transfer eyes.
Some papers suggest that the French champions are willing to allow a move through a loan deal with an opportunity to sign permanently, but they would rather prefer to sell the player permanently.
Although moving to the Premier League makes perfect sense, French pundit Rio Mavuba has advised Muani to revive his form in Germany having played for Eintracht Frankfurt.
However, Mavuba feels a return to the Bundesliga will be more appropriate for the striker than playing in the English Premier League.
Other clubs which have shown interest include AC Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig, and Aston Villa, making Muani one of the most targeted players in the January transfer window.
As per the press, PSG could sell the player for around £50 million, which is far below the amount they paid a little above a year.
In the coming window, all the attention will be turned to the next step of Muani. If he will remain in Paris or move to another club, his transfer story becomes one of the most compelling ones in the winter window.
