Andreas Christensen Transfer News

Manchester United have been heavily linked with a possible move for Andreas Christensen in the January transfer window, being the destination of the former Chelsea man.

Mundo Deportivo claims another club to be linked with the 28-year-old Danish international is, Juventus, a club in Serie A.

Christensen left Chelsea for Barcelona on a free transfer in the summer of 2022 and has so far played 75 matches for the current La Liga holders.

He was a mainstay in Barcelona’s victorious season during his first season and a stable personality in his second season. But injury has restricted his participation this season, which has put his Nou Camp future into doubt.

However, Manchester United and Juventus have not changed their stands despite the latest problems with his fitness.

Should Barcelona Sell Andreas Christensen?

Due to persistent financial challenges, Barcelona can leverage the sale of Andreas Christensen in exchange for a reasonable price in case a buyer comes forward.

Juventus is said to be interested in the race and planning to sign the defender on a loan transfer during the January transfer window.

United, however, have their agendas. Lisandro Martinez has endured a poor season and Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans are deemed to be weaker options.

Christensen, who played for the Blues for five years, played 161 games and had several victories in the former Champions League.

His experience in the Premier League and ability to play in multiple positions in the defensive line is something which will interest United as they look to strengthen the back line.

However, in an interview after being recently linked with move away from Barcelona.

The Danish footballer Christensen categorically denied the speculations and dismissed them by laughing off at the various transfer rumours by the various media houses from the Catalan club within the next window.

However, a decision with Manchester United and Juventus expressing their interest, the coming weeks may decide whether the Danish defender will be moving to another big club.
