Pablo Torre Transfer News

Depending on Hansi Flick, Barcelona might just struggle with the options available in the midfield but the extra playing time to win in the midfield remains rather more competitive.

Frenkie de Jong and Gavi returned from injury at the time when Pablo Torre gained his chances to play in the game more frequently.

Previously, at the start of the season, Pablo Torre made quite an impression with some great cameo appearances.

Far from giving up, the lad made sure he was going to retain his starting position despite a lot of competition, and the 21-year-old was seemingly destined for Flick’s lineup.

But since de Jong and Gavi have returned from injury, Torre has not played Barcelona for the past five games, raising questions about his prospects.

Pablo Torre Is Delighted At Barcelona

As noted in the Sport newspaper, Torre had been planning to remain at Barcelona and appreciated the club’s and Flick’s decision to retain him on the team.

Still, his current status as the team’s bench warmer may make him change his mind as the January transfer window approaches.

Whenever Torre is being called to play, the player has been efficient in his plays. This season, he has been involved in a goal or a creation of one in the 267 minutes of action, an average of one every 67 minutes.

Nonetheless, with de Jong not providing much value in terms of workrate and with the ever-threatening Fermin Lopez cropping up as another potential midfilder, Torre’s chances of featuring in the first-team are greatly limited.

There are suggestions that a January loan will allow the young midfielder to go further and develop himself at another club.

The match against Barbastro scheduled for the Copa del Rey at the beginning of 2025 might have been the signal of Flick’s plans for Torre.

It means that if the manager decides not to use him, it would confirm the increasing possibility of a temporary exit.

Torre’s transfer saga has not faded at all and several clubs are said to be eyeing the star for the rest of the season. In this case, getting a loan move could serve him well as he gets the playing time he requires to develop his talent.
