Vitor Roque Transfer News

Speaking of football, many would not have imagined Barcelona Loanee, Vitor Roque career was all that riveting when 2024 ends.

The Brazilian striker also attracted attention to himself through his transfer to Barcelona – a label that carries expectations for the player to become one of the best football talents in the European leagues.

But something did not go according to the plan in Catalunya, and he was loaned to Real Betis hoping for a change of fortune.

Roque had a little boost in luck at Betis and Barca fans expected more than what he is delivering currently at Betis. A rather unknown at the start, he has been transformed into one of the most important multi-functional attackers by Manuel Pellegrini.

Roque has scored 6 goals in all competitions this season. However, some people would have seen capacities of more from the 19-year-old boy, expecting to deliver more than that as he struggles to cope in La Liga.

Palmeiras Eye Vitor Roque

Against all odds, Roque is now in the strategic plan of the promising Palmeiras, one of the titans of football in Brazil.

As claimed by the Mundo, a club based in Sao Paulo is preparing to lure him back to his country during the next transfer window in January. Palmeiras have expressed an interest in Roque and is willing to spend €20 million on his signing.

The situation, however, is far from pull-off-able. Roque is signed with Real Betis until the end of the season if his loan deal will be considered.

They also have a purchase clause which gives them a lot of influence over the near future of the player. However, for Palmeiras to progress, Barcelona will be forced to cut short Roque’s loan stint at Betis, which might attract more costs.

In the case of Barcelona, there are certain problems with the entire operation. Real Betis, at this point, has shown no eagerness to consider the deal unless Palmeiras raise its initial bid to $20 million.

This means that Roque’s departure depends on complex contractual arrangements with many stakeholders, which has placed his status as one of the more interesting subplots leading up to the January transfer window.

For now, Roque’s goal is to be a fixed player at Real Betis, perhaps even showing that he has not lost the promise he demonstrated during his transfer to Barcelona.
