Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof may have exciting futures at Manchester United, but both are seniors with expiring contracts and cannot extend their contracts.
If they do not renew by January, they will leave Carrington upon seeing out their contracts at the end of the season.
At Old Trafford, there have been suggestions that players like Christian Eriksen, who was especially important during Erik ten Hag’s time, have been eased out this season.
The 32-year-old failed to find his place in Ruben Amorim’s formation, permanently replaced by Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo in midfield recently.

Bruno Fernandes has also been deployed in a deeper role whenever needed, especially with the presence of Mason Mount in the number ten role.
Critics have queried whether Eriksen will continue to feature prominently for Manchester United or if he will be permitted to leave the club during the January transfer window.
On the other hand, Victor Lindelof has enjoyed an up and down spell at the Old Trafford since joining in the 2017 summer transfer.
The Swedish defender has not been able to become an important member in the team and has also suffered from some injuries this season.
His latest injury occurred during the Carabao Cup match against Tottenham on Thursday adding to his troubled chances of helping out in the team as time goes on.
For both these players, there are still a few months of football that is rather unpredictable and most probably the fate of a United career will be written in the next January transfer window.
