Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly tracking Brentford winger Kevin Schade, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg.
The German forward has emerged as a potential target for Spurs, who are assessing options to strengthen their wide attacking areas ahead of the 2025 transfer windows.
Schade has shown flashes of promise in the Premier League this season, with his pace, directness, and versatility making him a player of interest for Thomas Frank’s side as they continue to build a youthful, dynamic squad.
Schade’s Season So Far at Brentford
The 23-year-old has featured eight times for Brentford this season across all competitions, scoring once and offering glimpses of his attacking potential.
While not yet a consistent game-changer, his ability to stretch defences and run at full-backs has been evident.
Statistically, Schade averages 1.42 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League and hits the target with roughly a third of those efforts.

However, his passing accuracy of 58.6% suggests there’s still work to be done in terms of decision-making and final-third precision.
Despite that, Brentford value him highly. His contract runs until the summer of 2028, meaning Spurs would need to present a strong financial package to tempt the Bees into negotiations next year.
Why Tottenham Want Schade
Tottenham’s recruitment strategy under Thomas Frank and the club’s hierarchy has been focused on youth, pace, and tactical flexibility — and Schade fits the profile.
He’s primarily a left-winger but can operate on the right or even centrally if required, giving Spurs more fluid attacking options.
His speed on the counter-attack and ability to take defenders on one-on-one could complement the technical qualities of players like Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison.
Furthermore, with Son Heung-min now in his thirties, Spurs are already planning for a generational transition in their frontline.
Schade’s familiarity with the Premier League is another advantage. Having spent two seasons adapting to English football, he would require little settling-in time compared to foreign imports.
The Potential Impact of a Move
If Tottenham can get the deal done, Schade would add valuable depth and competition for places.
His work rate and willingness to press suit Frank’s high-energy style, and his development curve suggests there’s significant upside over the next few seasons.
At 23, the German still has time to refine his finishing and improve his creativity in tight spaces.
Under the guidance of Frank, who has shown success in nurturing emerging talent, Schade could evolve into a consistent Premier League performer.
Given Brentford’s strong negotiating stance, Spurs may need to move decisively to secure his services — either in January or next summer. If they do, they’ll be investing not just in depth, but in a long-term attacking project built around youth and versatility.
