Theo Hernandez

Manchester United’s interest in Theo Hernandez for the next summer transfer window is another revelation from the Italian source Calciomercato.

The 27-year-old Frenchman has become one physical embodiment of a defender and talent that the Red Devils are seriously considering to sign as they seek a new set of players under the stewardship of Ruben Amorim.

Born in Madrid and raised through Real Madrid’s development ranks, Hernandez has been one of Milan’s most impressive players and can play both as a left-back or center back. This ability, in addition to the responsibility to get goals, makes him an interesting figure for Manchester United, as they need a reinforcement for the left-wing back.

Amorim needs to work on the problems, and Old Trafford’s new manager has found Hernandez to be most suitable for the correction.

There has been information that AC Milan might be under pressure to sell Hernandez if the contract talks fail.

Currently, the defender has his contract expiring only in June 2026, and if Hernandez fail to agree on an extension, then Serie A giants Milan will not hesitate to sell the versatile Defender.

Milan IS Demanding £41 Million For Theo Hernandez

According to the latest reports, Milan is demanding £41 million for the defender, but United may look to pay a lower upfront price and include bonuses for performance.

Hernandez brings out his worth on the football pitch using statistical data. He provided 16 goal involvements last season and this season he has already made 2 goals, 2 assists in 12 Serie A matches. The Frenchman has had a passing accuracy of 90% and a success rate of 63% in duels in Serie A this season that could greatly improve United’s technicality on the left flank.

Apparently, Bayern Munich is also interested in Hernandez’s situation, however, Manchester United is considered one of the favourites for his future. It is claimed that Berrada, CEO of Manchester United, wants to sign the player for the Old Trafford, however the last call will lie in Amorim who needs to decide whether the player fits his system of play.

With Hernandez yet to enter his prime by any means, this could well prove to be a major coup for United up and in the coming years.

Still much will be depend on their capacity to handle the AC Milan pressure and more importantly the player’s interest in deserting the Rossoneri.

If such a deal is made, it will constitute a solution to one of the positional demands of the Red Devils and give Hernandez a new test in the English top tier.
