Milos Kerkez, Manchester United target

Liverpool is said to be on the chase for a new left-back and is willing to compete with Manchester United for Bournemouth’s young star Milos Kerkez.

As Andrew Robertson ages, the Reds will need a new defender, which is why the Hungary international is right for the club at 21 years of age.

Kerkez has particularly proved useful since joining Bournemouth and is today valued at €24 million by transfermarkt. Manchester United are also interested more seriously in the player as both clubs are thinking about options in left back position.

The two teams still have other names on their list, too, apart from Kerkez. The latest one is Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies, going into the last 18 months of his contract; the media claims the two Premier League rivals have identified him as a key target.

Others are Fulham’s Antonee Robinson, Benfica’s Alvaro Carreras, and Girona’s Miguel Gutierrez, all of whom might become genuine contenders for the post.

Bournemouth Are Tempted To Sell Milos Kerkez

However, with the recent increase of interest, Bournemouth are tempted to let go of Kerkez as they have made a fine start to the season.

Reports have it that the Cherries would be willing to part ways with Bournemouth only if they received up £50m for the talented left-back.

Although it remains to be seen if Liverpool possesses the necessary financial resources to sustain this valuation, talking of the player exchange could turn into an efficient way of decreasing the total fee.

Kerkez has proven capability to succeed at a top-six side, and Liverpool would be a perfect destination for a young player.

However, they have competition not only in Manchester United, but in other clubs of the Premier League, including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham.

Still, for now, Liverpool and United seem to be the front runners for the highly rated full-back, but any move will depend on Bournemouth’s interest in selling and the ability of the interested clubs to match the demands of the player.

Since many clubs are interested in him, the January transfer window could prove to be decisive in Kerkez’s career.
