Jakub Kiwior on Napoli’s Radar: Will Arsenal Resist a January Transfer Raid ?

For Arsenal, Jakub Kiwior has recently been given more playing time in some matches starting with the times of the injured Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel Magalhães.

This has demonstrated why Mikel Arteta was wise to keep hold of the Polish defender even with the purchase of Calafiori in the summer.

Jakub Kiwior has been perfect on Arsenal’s bench role because he has played a crucial role whenever he’s needed to play on Arsenal team’s defense line.

However, although he plays increasingly actively, there is information that Kiwior is not entirely happy with the backup position at the Emirates.

Napoli Wants To Sign Jakub Kiwior In January

That brings us to Kiwior, who has been on the radar of several Italian clubs, with Napoli said to be in advanced talks to sign the player as the January transfers begin.

Napoli is not being deterred by Arsenal’s insistence that the young star, aged 24 is not for sale. The Italian Serie A giants have since been managed by Antonio Conte, and that has led to attempts being made to lure the former Spezia defender back to Italy.

It is reported that Conte considers Kiwior as a perfect signing to strengthen Napoli’s defensive line which puts pressure on the team to accelerate the signing.

As informed by Calcio Napoli24, Napoli has emerged from the recent attempt, that is to negotiate a direct deal with Kiwior’s representatives in hopes for transfer.

Negotiations between the player and his agents and Napoli management are anticipated in the coming weeks as the Italia side makes preparation for a complete transfer in January.

For Arsenal, however, it might not be the best decision to allow Kiwior leave during the middle of the season. His prior performances have also prove his significance especially in a time when a club is down to the nitty-gritty in the defensive line.

Although Napoli has a great interest in Kiwior, Arsenal requires a cover in defence, and the skills provided by Kiwior makes him a useful player till the end of the current season.

Arteta will probably want to continue having the defender be an integral player in his team to ensure Arsenal is well-protected in a difficult season.
